Trinity Lutheran Church – What We Believe

Trinity is a member congregation of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod.

o   We believe in the Triune God who is revealed in Holy Scripture as God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

o   We hold to the Lutheran Confessions as a right and true exposition of Holy Scripture.

o   We use Martin Luther’s Small Catechism to teach the one true faith.

o   We believe in Word and Sacrament as God’s means of grace.

o   We believe in Baptismal Regeneration for all people, young and old.

o   We believe in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in Holy Communion.

o   We believe that people are justified (saved) by Grace Alone through Faith Alone on account of Christ Alone as revealed in Scripture Alone.

o   We believe and confess the three ecumenical creeds: Apostles, Nicene, and Athanasian.

o   We believe in worship, preaching, teaching and evangelism that are entirely Christ-centered.

o   We cherish the liturgical calendar and liturgical worship.

o   We believe in the integrity and authority of the office of the Holy Ministry.

o   We believe in the practice and efficacy of personal and corporate prayer.

o   We endeavor to be a church in mission sharing the Gospel enthusiastically.

o   We operate and maintain Trinity Lutheran School to pass our faith on to our children.
