Our Lutheran heritage is now stretching back 500 years. In honor of that, Concordia Publishing House held a contest for a new hymn to be written. The winner is titled Though All Our Life Is Like a Scroll. The words were written by Rev. Dr. Wilfred Karsten and the tune is by Jeffery Blersch.

We were given permission to download the music for free. The choir will help the congregation learn this on Reformation Sunday and hopes you are enriched by this new hymn. You can listen to the CPH hymn version with organ and lyrics here. Enjoy!

1. For the beauty of the earth,
for the glory of the skies,
for the love which from our birth over and around us lies;
Lord of all, to thee we raise
this our hymn of grateful praise.

6. For thyself, best Gift Divine,
to the world so freely given,
for that great, great love of thine, peace on earth, and joy in heaven: Lord of all, to thee we raise
this our hymn of grateful praise.

Blessings!
