Sunday Morning Bible Classes

At Trinity Lutheran Ministries, we strive to provide a variety of opportunities for Bible Study. Being in the Word and engaging in meaningful discussion and fellowship are wonderful and necessary ways to strengthen our faith. Options are available for all ages. We encourage you to view the following list of classes and contact us with any questions.

Pastor Shank’s Bible Class

Pastor Shank teaches a Sunday morning Adult Bible Study at 9:15 in the  church lower level.  The current focus of study is First and Second Thessalonians. In these letters, Paul encourages this newly formed church on a number of topic not the least of which is the Second Coming of our Lord. Let us turn to God’s Word together to be encouraged for our day until the day of our Lord’s coming.

Adult Information Class

This class meets at 9:15am on Sundays in the lower level. Those who are curious about what Lutherans believe and/or those desiring membership here atTrinity are welcome. You may inquire of Pastor DeBlieck by calling 618-340-2566 or by sending an email.

Children’s Bible Study

ALIVE Children’s Sunday School meets at 9:15 am in various classrooms in the school. Email our Director of Christian Education, Eric Dunn, for details. There will be a Sunday School representative in the hallway on Sunday mornings to answer any questions you may have.

High School Bible Class

Senior High Youth Group meets at Trinity on Sunday evenings at 7pm. All high school students are welcome to join us for fun and fellowship! For more information, contact Eric Dunn.

Junior High Youth Group

This group meets once a month on the last Wednesday of each month from 6-8pm.

Women’s Bible Study

Dawn Schnare is leading a study on Sundays at 9:15am in the School Media Center called “Lutheranism 101.”  Perhaps you’re a lifelong Lutheran looking to dig deeper. Maybe you’re new to Lutheranism and want answers or are just curious about the Lutheran church. This study is for you! Easily get to know theology basics that won’t make your brain hurt!

Faith and Spirituality Bible Study

Eric Dunn and Adam Born are leading a study titled “Faith and Spirituality.” The study meets during Sunday School at 9:15am in the Centennial Room (lower level).

Tuesday Morning Bible Study

Join us Tuesday mornings in the church’s lower level (Centennial Room) at 9:30am to study the Pericopes, i.e. the assigned Bible readings for that week. Pastor Shank generally leads this class and invites all to attend. Class members say the study enhances their understanding of the weekly worship themes and better prepares them for hearing the sermon.

Small Group Bible Study

The following is a list of the available Small Group Bible Studies. The group leaders are listed along with their study topics:

Curt Schumacher is leading a study of the book No Wonder They Call Him the Savior. The group meets every other Sunday at 4:00 p.m.

The adult small group Bible study led by Lynn Koch is studying 1-2 Thessalonians. They meet on Sunday evenings.

Ken & Rhonda Pape are leading a study on Biblical Parables and usually meets two nights each month. Call for more information.

Ralph & Sue Koenig (288-7486) are hosting a study of the book of Exodus. The group meets two Sundays a month. Call for more information.

Jim Harmon & Jan Arrneson lead a study titled A Man Named Martin. They meet on the 1st and 3rd Sundays at 6 pm. A new study begins in January. Call for location.
